I found this competition truly hard to judge, most girls sang very well: hard to decide those top 16. Those who maintain that 48G do not sing properly must now eat up their words and from now on keep their big mouths SHUT.
This really came as a big surprise, the 48G is a diamond in the rough.

Most girls did not sing very well, you could clearly hear several register they could not handle at all.

48G is not a group of singers, do they have some that can sing decent/ok, yes ofc with 300+ members, anything else would be a chock.

And still, 300+ members, and only a dussin or so is considered ok.

And less than a handful are at pro level.

Yokoyama Yui Team 8? I don't remember her being a good singer enough to make it this far...

@Jim. hey mister singing expert, who are you to judge who sings well and who doesn't? Can you post a link where we can see how you sound when you sing...or are you just gossip bug.
Can you give us some examples of those who you call "pro level" sir? Who is pro level here? Shakira? Rihana? Britney? Madonna??? (None of them sing pro!)
Who says only a dozen 48G singers are considered OK? you Mr. Bright?
We want to judge how any critic here sings in front of a camera with just a piano at the background, send in those links, we want to hear you.
So mister do you mean Lisa Minnelli, Tina Turner, Boney Taylor, Cindy Lauper would not pass your test?
You gotta be kidding us big mouth.

based purely on singing talent ie. hitting the right notes, proper breathing, being on-key the whole song, etc. i would have to agree with the opinion of Jim.

@Ray Jim is right tho, none of those girls have even a decent singing technique. Their range are small, can't control their breathing, can't belt, can't properly hit the notes and more flaws. The only good point is since they're raw they mostly relies on emotion which is also good (I like emotional singer).
