    So they were Yoshimoto, sold to AKS in 2016, then bought back by Yoshimoto in 2019?

    I thought Yoshimoto was still a partner/manager so this was news.

    Wonder if there's any sales figures around for the 2016 AKS purchase, I couldn't see anything obvious on Google. Be funny to see AKS take a hit in the wallet, selling it back for a discount.

    @MB
    It is very complicated, and some information I don't think they are disclosed..., following are just my personal opinion.

    First of all, I personally don't think Yoshimoto sold NMB48 to AKS (Edited - Sorry, MB, this part I am wrong, you are right), NMB48 members' contracts were sold to Showtitle in 2016.

    On the other hand, I personally think AKS is owned by KYORAKU in a particular way through Yoshinari Natsuko, so it is just sell some of their business or rights back to KYORAKU Yoshimoto, which KYORAKU has 80% share ownership (if it does not change), so you can regard this move just NMB48 want to draw a clear line with AKS, the latter's reputation becomes really bad after NGT48 scandal.

    Would be impossible to see the actual clause or agreement being disclosed. There's no rules imposed for private corporation not listed in JASDAQ to reveal their document publicly.

    AKS were never listed. Yoshimoto Holdings, on the other hands, delisted from Tokyo Stock Exchange since years ago. So yeah....we may never know how many % involved here.

    Sorry, my mistake, you are right, KYORAKU Yoshimoto sold NMB48 to AKS in 2016, and now KYORAKU Yoshimoto bought it back.

    This is confusing.
    So kyoraku sells to kyoraku ?
    It looks like a trick to remove AKS from the NMB name

    @EinhanderX
    Well, I would like to say it is impossible to know if the shareholder's percentage changed or not.

    Confusing, but I hope with this NMB will show some good changes.

    Well, I admit it is a bit complicated, and the names are so similar...
    You can just read the content (It is from ORICON NEWS), and disregard my personal remarks and comments.

    Anyone caring to share about song's license. Whose is it?

    Does anyone really know the Japanese penal code in case of fraud? I'm just asking, because the whole story seems slightly Spanish to me. Something is over there lazy!

    To the composers probably, I think the brand NMB48 along its distributions, licensing is now owned by KYH Co. (but I'm still confused to the part that they are now officially do not belong to the 48G anymore???)

    I think it's a bit more than just distance NMMB from AKS. Shareholders of Yoshimoto Kogyo Co are mainly made up by the major companies in Japan's entertainment industry; including the 4 major TV network; after Yoshimoto always went bankrupt.

    I think AKS/KYORAKU believe by selling NMB back to Yoshimoto, these companies will have more incentive to use NMB members; to give the group a jump start so to speak.
