Will Keyakizaka46 change their system?

First of all, this post is not a news, it is just some of my thought on Keyakizaka46's latest news.

From debut single to the latest 7th single, Kanji Keyakizaka46's single A-side lineup include all their members with Hirate Yurina as CENTER. IF the idol group announced a new single lineup today, the lineup should include all 18 members (Yonetani Nanami is going to graduated from the group).

However, today Keyakizaka46 announce their new generation members are going to held their first event "Omitatekai" at Nippon Budokan on 10 December 2018. Those new members including 9 Kanji Keyakizaka46 2nd generation members, therefore, it means at least 9 new members are supposed joining the idol group already.

If it is possible Kanji Keyakizaka46 to remain their lineup system unchanged while the group is going to have 27 members or even more, will they change into AKB48 selected members system? or will they introduce research student system? or will they have UNDER system like Nogizaka46? Moreover, will the management pick a 2nd generation members as their new single CENTER?

In the worst case scenario, if Keyakizaka46 management have already known some Kanji members are planning to graduate.

Note1: Harada Aoi is taking a temporary hiatus since May 2018.
Note2: Yonetani Nanami will graduate by the end of 2018.
Note3: Total 39 candidates have passed Sakamichi joint audition, only 21 of them will participate in Omitatekai.

Exactly what's on my mind. 27 members is too much (okay maybe not if we look at AKB they do have songs with more than 27 people in senbatsu). Moreover Kanji's choreos usually focuses on one single person only, imagine 26 girls worship the center.
I don't mind Techi center since she's obviously the most popular (or the only member public knows no offense) and Kanji's image suit her perfectly like it's tailored for her, but I will always welcome a new center. Seeing young blood took the front row is also nice (Miona as center for Baretta made me fell in love in first sight).
I wish that no more member will announce their graduation in the near future tho, it breaks my heart.

    Since we're all speculating...

IS Techi the most popular member?? Or is this the "Jurina Effect" where NO ONE else was ever given a shot at Center so we don't know. Neru excels in Sachamichi (against multiple AKS & such)- why can't she sell as "Center" for even 1 Keyaki single - just to mix it up.

Case in point- Erika Ikuta centered the 10th? single (the one where she opens w/ the piano) & it was a HIT...has she centered since?? (I really don't know). Ikoma Rina was the original "Ace" (am I correct?)- I liked her. She was even fun in AKB - Why did that stop? Point is- why is OK to mix it up in Nogi46 but NOT Keyakizaki?? Why does Sachamichi even EXIST?? because people like a mix of Fresh & familiar...IF SO- why can't AKB48 try this for 2 singles?? Make Komiyama Haruka & Yuki Kashiwagi co-center a single- Why Not??

NERU could CRUSH Techi in Popularity, Visual, & Marketability with MOST people who are NOT already invested in Keyaki - I'd goto Las Vegas w/ those Odds. But if they ever tried it, and it worked, does it mean Techi was the wrong choice all along?? NO - just shows there's more to offer in Keyaki46 than JUST Techi. Just there's more going on in SKE than just Jurina - But no one is will to try it.

@CP the answer to your question is: yes Techi is the most popular member, Neru is second to her. In POPULARITY. Meaning how many casual listeners knows their names. BUT Neru has the best impact within the already fans. Meaning if you already follow Keyakizaka46 then yes you'd come to like her, buy her stuffs and all. For public, Keyakizaka46 = Techi, but sales Neru is top (she has more project that requires fans to buy her stuff anyway while Techi don't really have them). Now do you know the difference?

In 48G, ranking in SSK doesn't always parallel with popularity. Ofc the ranked members are more popular than unranked one, but their ranking is based on how rich their fans are which is the case with Dasu and Tomu right now (remember when Sasshi first took the throne she's also not that popular in public compare to Kami7). They're well known in 48G fans' circle obviously, but in public that's not the case.

It's the same for Sakamichi Series. For public, Nogi is (currently) Maiyan-Nanase-Ashurin (most on demand), Keya is Techi. But other members might have richer fans, so let's say Ikuta has richest fans even more than those three then she would ranked #1 if there's an SSK for Nogi. If Keya had an SSK too, Neru might take #1 position too thanks to her richer fans. It's like the Hiragana center girl might sell more, but since Hiragana is under Kanji's shadow, right now they can't compete with Kanji's top member YET.

Additionally, Sakamichi Series are under different management than AKB48. The way the center is chosen isn't the same with how AKS choose the center for 48G.
