In recognition of Amuro Namie phenomenal, and also her music career achievement, Okinawa Prefecture has awarded the Prefecture Citizen's Honor Prize to Amuro Namie. Amuro Namie was given the prize by the governor of Okinawa, Onaga Takeshi on 23 May 2018.
