HKT48 member Sashihara Rino will graduate from the AKB48 group in April 2019. In FujiTV show "Wide na Show" which was aired on 6 January 2019, Sashihara Rino shared what AKB48 producer Akimoto Yasushi reacted to her graduation.

Before her official graduation announcement, Sashihara Rino told Akimoto Yasushi she was planning to announce her graduation in advance, Sashihara Rino confessed she expected Akimoto Yasushi might ask her to stay or at least convinced her to stay a little longer, however, Akimoto Yasushi's reply was just "OK" and did not try to persuade her not graduating.

The show's host Matsumoto Hitoshi commented and teased Sashihara Rino that Akimoto Yasushi may think Sashihara Rino past "food expired date".

    Well Sasshi is already 26 and has tons of project outside 48G, I think Aki-P realized it too. He gave Sasshi so many things throughout her career I wouldn't think he doesn't feel sad letting her go

    True or fiction it is a typical Sasshi style gag that I am sure got a lot of laughs - she loves poking fun at herself and that shows just how confident she is. I believe AkiP has been through enough high end graduations that he is numb to it.

    @Tuberose "gave" might be srong, she earned most of what she got or at the least she always validated their faith when given an opportunity. I would say she transended any push she got and made it to the next level on Sasshi power alone.

    Her relationship with Aki-P seems honest and straight forward. I remember Sasshi saying she asked if he'd fixed the 2013 election and him replying something like "If I'd fixed it, do you think you'd have won?" iirc.

    I'm sure he's sad to lose her but he'll understand her position and probably thought it'd be unfair to ask her to stay beyond when she wanted.

    I was never & still am not a fan of Sasshi. I still believed she's done great damage to the pristine reputation of akb at the time. But one cannot help but admire & respect her for her tenacity, dedication and everything she's done for the 48 grp. Also it is always sad to see another member who went through the early rough years to graduate.

    @yy she didn't do any harm, a despicable trash newspaper printer alleged intimate details about a minors personal life harmed her - blaming her is victim blaming.

    @Joe if Sasshi did not say publicly she never dated before, then you would be perfectly correct; the fault would be on bunshin & the creepy formal boy friend. But Sasshi said it many times she never had any boy friend, even hinted she was still a virgin. Then the whole thing blew up on her.

    All she had to do was to be honest & admitted she had relationships before, the whole thing would end quickly not drag on for over a yr. Also saying victim blaming do not change the fact.

    @yy
    It seems you are very harsh to Sasshi, I don't know where you get the information, but, drag on for over a year? Sasshi apologized and explained everything to public on ANN within a week.

    @Paul yes, Sasshi apologized but the reports did not stop. All the members were put under microscope. Everytime sasshi went on to tv she was made fun of. The whole drama drag on for over a year before the public lost interest. And you are telling during that period of time, akb's rep suffer no damages?

    A lot of member admitted they had relationships before joining akb; yuko, mariko etc. That never stop them from being beloved members by fans.

    Look I said it before & I will say it again; I never like sasshi & that's fact. But I do admire and respect all the works she's done and being honest to herself now.

    @yy
    I don't know if you notice or not, your previous comment WOULD mislead that Sasshi was being dishonest AFTER scandal.

    By the way, I don't deny Sasshi caused damages AKB48 reputation DURING that period, but I think you may also notice her scandal and rebirth also raise AKB48 group reputation AFTER that period.

    @Paul if it give you that impression, it was not my intention. The way I look at it is simple; the top member at the time period bear most of the glory & also shoulder the most responsibility.

    Major companies will choose their rep in cm base on their popularity & reputation. Before Mayu graduated & Yukirin's rep got damaged by scandal; major corp still ask akb to be their rep in cm. Sasshi been the top member for a couple of yrs after Mayu grad. Have you noticed akb represent any major corp like toyota , nissin or suntory as they did before? Competition is a factor, fewer popular member is another but they all goto other grps & artist? Then reputation is also a factor.

    It was never my intention to go into all these. As I said before it is always sad when a member who went through the early rough yrs to announce graduation. Either I like that member or not, they always have my utmost respect. And I have nothing more to say in this topic,

    @yy
    I don't know if it was your intention or not, I just pointed it out.

    Come on, Sasshi had several Toyota CMs. AKB48 lost their ads client not because of the reputation, AKB48 lost their ads client because of infighting, new AKS could not nuture their AKB48 aces, on the other hand they didn't give opportunities to those members who were not on their side.

    Ofcourse aki-p feeling pleased to let her go. Sashi couldn't save akb even she won ssk multiple times. She can make akb great again like acchan and yuko.

    @yy she wasn't the first to be exposed as being a normal teen, so many others have also and many many many more never got found out. Some extreme fans might have been put off but most people saw it for what it was - a hit job by someone she gave her trust to who took revenge when it ddn't work out. What pristine reputation are you talking about? One of AKB48's founding members left to the join AV industry. Maybe you should look up all the former members who either went through their own scandal or had to quit over it - most of them were only being normal girls yet their lives were ruined or at least turned upside down for basically an unfair standard that aki-p even says he doesn't worry about.
