Japanese idol group NGT48's recent scandal has sparked a storm in Japan and overseas over the past few days, it has dealt a heavy blow to the idol group, and it seems their sponsors are also under an enormous pressure too.

One of their sponsor Ichimasa Kamaboko has already removed NGT48 related ads videos on the official website. Moreover, according to The Niigata Nippo (11 January 2019), NGT48's another sponsor "The Daishi Bank" express they would not extend the contract with NGT48 at this moment.

Note: The Niigata Nippo's article mentioned Ichimasa Kamaboko was re-considering the right response with NGT48 upon the fact and situation.

    This scandal is definitely going to affect SSK, especially with Mahohon.

    Wow... Maho apologizes for being victimized, the scumbag perps never even get arrested, and now the NGT48 sponsors are going to punish the NGT girls as well. Who really loses here except for them? This Clusterf_ck has already made the global news and it makes 48 G, Jpop, and all of Japan look bad.

    Their running like the weasels they are. instead of stepping up and putting out a statement critical of managements actions to his point but still supporting the girls and what they stand for, they run and hide. all too predictable.

    @Jolly_Roger they got arrested but released since they never hit her, the attack was just holding her from the face without intending to punch or rape her like most peole believe, one of them is Maho's fan.

    This statement is around 5ch, is what the police reported. Check more info about the incident.

    @ASDF First, the subhumans broke into her home. In any normal country, that is enough to arrest the worthless a'holes from the get-go. And then the filthy scum laid hands on her. "Just holding her from the face" you say... WHAT F*ING RIGHT DID THEY HAVE TO TOUCH HER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES?

    @Jolly_Roger

    I'm glad you mentioned that distinction on your recent post. Gaijins, the domestic Japanese and people in general need to be aware of being violated of one's personal space. In any given situation what the assailants did to her can easily be construed as a violation of her personal space especially given that they "ambushed" her out of nowhere. And then place their hands on her face while stepping foot inside her door without being asked? NO ONE in any culture greets people like that. This incident should not be taken lightly nor passed off as some joke to be swept under the rug. Because I fear this would only encourage wanna-be's to do the same to any female idol not only among 48groups but others in the industry as well. What's more is, this is Japan. Since when do locals greet one another by "touching" and being aggressively pushy? This incident should not be left un-investigated.
