Nogizaka46's Live-Action Eizouken! Gets Live-Action TV Drama

Nogizaka46's live-action movie "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!" revealed today that the upcoming live-action movie will also inspire a television drama this April. The 6-episode TV drama will be aired on MBS on 5 April 2020, and TBS on 7 April 2020. Moreover, the live-action movie has confirmed the release date: 15 May 2020.


Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Twitter also revealed a new poster for the live-action adaption.

The original manga series by Owara Sumito is currently running in Shogakukan Inc.’s Monthly Big Comic Spirits, the manga won Oreman Awards and Bros Comic Awards in 2017.

The story centers around three high school girls Asakusa Midori, Mizusaki Tsubame, and Kanamori Sayaka join Eizouken (Video Research Club) and turn their anime dreams into reality. Asakusa Midori wants to create an anime, but she needs a team. Luckily she meets Mizusaki Tsubame who has artistic dreams of being an animator, Asakusa Midori's friend Kanamori Sayaka, a girl with the good financial sense, joins them and bring the anime project to fruition.


The three main characters will be played by the members of Japanese idol group Nogizaka46.

  • Asakusa Midori, an enthusiastic anime lover, her slogan is "Anime is all about the setting,” will be played by Saito Asuka.
  • Mizusaki Tsubame, a popular amateur model who wants to become an animator to express herself despite opposition from her actor parents, will be portrayed by Yamashita Mizuki.
  • Kanamori Sayaka, a producer type who brings their talent together, controls them and cashes in on them, will be performed by Umezawa Minami.
