Former HKT48 member Sashihara Rino talk about NGT48 and the idol group's producer Akimoto Yasushi in TV show "Wide na Show" on 5 May 2019.

While the TV host Higashino Koji asked Sashihara Rino how Akimoto Yasushi handle NGT48's incident, she said she once discussed with Akimoto Yasushi, but he told her he does not know what to say, because the company handled it their own way, without consulting him.

Sashihara Rino thinks Akimoto Yasushi has becomes just a creative producer only, since the management changed.

I'd love to see an organizational chart of the 48/46G, to see who's who.

Regarded 46G (Sakamichi) there are two managements under Sony Music Records. N46 division LLC and Seed & Flower LLC.

Previous higher-up of N46 div was appointed as CEO of Seed & Flower LLC in 2015. Yoshio Konno is controlling Keyaki and Hinata.

Aki-P was creatively involved with 1gen to 5gen AKB members when he was consultant for AKS when previous top mngmt controlled AKS. In 2014 the top mngmt got changed and Aki-P parted ways with AKS auditions. He only become a producer/lyricist. His consultant job moved to Sakamichi for "New Nogizaka project" in 2015 (Keyakizaka46). He was also brought in as consultant for Sakamichi Joint Audition last year and he helped Konno to choose members. He put most effort into Keyaki (Kanji around the time) because the group was unstable in 2018.

You can just look at Aki-P as song writer for 48G nowadays. That's basically what Sasshi meant. I remember Aki-P sent a video message at Rina Ikoma's grad concert at Budokan last year. That's where he is now. Sakamichi, literally speaking.

Reinforces what we suspected from all the other news around this: that AkiP isn't involved in hiring or firing anymore; rather he IS someone that can be replaced, should his actions reflect badly on current (and incompetent) management... and that's why he avoided getting involved.

@Vendpr and that's the reason why Sakamichi is going to take over 48G soon.

    What if...
Everything that's been happening lately is a masterplan from AKI-P to undermine AKS so that he can use his new company to buy back AKB and save it from the coming downfall...?

    TBH, it is possible.
I'm just curious why overseas fan (I guess you are an oversea fan) has this speculation (well, perhaps just a wild guess).

If your logic would be true, then it would mean every girl that has been graduating lately has been doing it to get away from Aki-P and his saving attempt

    @Paul Cho
hmmm, good question. If you mean that things are going downhill, I've noticed a general sentiment of things getting worse among a lot of what i assume are overseas fans as well as bad signs from the group like sales seemingly getting worse, big scandals and a lacking of the spirit of the older gens. That being said, I think 16th gen is wonderful and i want to be optimistic.
If you meant in regards to Aki-P wanting to regain control of AKB or that he'd be behind current events or just somehow involved, I think it's hope that there's some kind of movement going on with intentions to eventually make things better than they currently are. The idea of the creator not being in control of his creation with faceless corporate types there instead seems very unnerving, at least to me.
tbh though, realistically I think what the article says is probably true, he doesn't have much sway over anything anymore and maybe AKS will get it back on track or not but he's just a glorified song writer now.

I get it. Thank you for your reply.

I do wonder if he is actually writing the lyrics all of these songs... He is named as the song writer for 99.8% of the songs that 48/46group have. This includes the coupling song. Plus he is also writing songs for those newer group he is involved with too I think. Given how many singles and coupling songs each group release every year, it seems impossible for him to be writing lyrics for all the songs that he is credited for.

I am currently in Tokyo and have noticed that the appearances of 48G members on Japanese TV has dropped dramatically. Usually they are on all the time, but I have been here 3 weeks and have not seen one appearance. I think the whole 48 Group is now starting to be seen as a toxic brand and are heading for a big fall.
